Look for wild pandas in the actual panda habitat with a local experienced panda guide. This trip is 3 days but can be extended. The chance of seeing a wild panda is around 5% in the right season. This trip is unique in its nature and it is not an established tour that is done by other people. You may consider to combine this tour to the nearby reserves for Red Panda or a visit to Giant Panda Base due to the low chance of seeing pandas in the wild. Please note sighting a panda in the wild is very hard.
Book NowDrive to Yaan in the early morning on day01 and go up the mountain to end of road and search and wait. The drive from Chengdu takes about 3-4 hours. The place is very remote so please make sure you are prepared for this of drinking water and food. Each day we will do driving up the mountains and try by 2-3 different place with overnight in the local lodge. Hiking is involved in some days. Please do prepare strong walking shoes, waterproof jackets and hats and insect sprays for wet conditions. During the search we need to pack light and have one-day's supply of water and food. You'll be guided by your guide. By the 3rd day in the afternoon you will be transfered back to Chengdu.
