This is a 2-day tour into the mountains of Yaan near the Panda Nature Reserve. You will go with one of our panda guides up into the mountains by driving and have an afternoon and a morning to search for pandas in the wild. You are recommended to come in the right seasons. Although if you have more time we recommend you to extend for more days to maximize your chance of seeing a wild panda.
Book NowDrive to Yaan in the early morning on day01 and start by a short local transfer up to end of road at multiple locations. The drive from Chengdu takes about 4 hours. Please make your day pack in the morning before start of tour and make sure your batteries, cameras are all charged and set. The searching will be long and can be frustrating. Please do prepare strong walking shoes, snacks for lunch, drinking water, waterproof jackets and pants, hats and insect sprays for wet conditions. During the search we need to pack light and have one-day's supply of water and food. You'll be guided by your guide. By the second day in the afternoon you will be transfered back to Chengdu.
