As the oldest panda base in China, Bifengxia has around 20 to 30 pandas total in the base. Bifengxia Panda Base is located by the lower mountains of Qionglai near Yaan, one of the natural hometowns of wild pandas. A tour to visit the pandas by Bifengxia with option to hike the Bifeng Gorge in one day's time.
Book NowStart from the city of Chengdu in the morning and drive for around 2 hours to arrive Yaan Bifengxia Panda Base. The panda base in Bifengxia serves as a research and rescue place for pandas. It has normally about 20-30 pandas in this place. These pandas are kept in different enclosures within the park. Bifengxia Panda Base is the oldest panda base and the one that feels to be in the nature where pandas live. After around 2-3 hours' visit, if time allows we will have the option to walk the Bifeng Gorge to see the waterfalls and streams for another 2-3 hours. After the visit, drive back to Chengdu, tour ends.
