He was able to organize our admission tickets in like 5 seconds. Great work and big thanks to him! It’s such a pity that he can’t speak English, translators not always work as we want them to work. We had an amazing trip and time. We are very very happy! It was super well organised. The transfers were super smooth. We were also extremely happy with the team. Truth is a super good guide. He shared lots of interesting information. He cooked soo good! And brought us fresh ginger tea every evening. It couldn’t be better! The pace of the hiking was good and we really really liked the gorgeous nature and all the places where we slept. We were also very happy with Sojean and his horses. We were super happy with the driver Li Chao. He drove super safely and he was very friendly. The car was comfortable and clean. The hotels you booked were also very good. As for the first park: Siguniang, we did not like it that much Because it was very busy and the boardwalk was out of service on a lot of places so we could not walk a lot. All of the other hikes were much better. We liked the diversity and that we also saw a lot of culture and monasteries.

Definitely lots of positive feedback only. It was such a pleasure to be guided by Shirley and the driver (Chao ge). Shirley was wonderfully detailed with her Tibetan Buddhist knowledge but what made this trip stand out was the languages used! I spoke in Chinese to practice while she spoke in English and we gave each other feedback while she helped me converse with the locals whenever I had trouble understanding the dialect. The tour was very flexible to my interests. I enjoyed the first two days especially in Tagong and Litang because of the free roam, interaction with the locals whereas the hailuogou experience was less interesting to me as it was nature behind a fence and there were a lot of tourists. Nonetheless Shirley made sure I did not have to worry about ticketing or any stops for snacks and made the whole trip meaningful and fun. Chao ge was especially hospitable with the snacks and drinks throughout the long rides too. It was really a cultural exchange. The arrangement was on time, well planned, with no delays. And the choice of hotel was also eye opening as each hotel had a different style especially the hailuogou cabin resort!

Hello Bruce, Below is the feedback on our tour. First of all, I would like to say thank you for making my wish to visit Daocheng Yading a ture experience. I had waited for the opportunity more than 10 years! Hotel accomodation: The weather was unexpectedly cold. Out of all the hotels we stayed, I think the one at Xinduqiao probably the best. Most of the things were in working order. The one in Kangding was totally disappointed even though the hotel might seem posh! There were a strong feces smell in the 1st room allocated. Even though they changed the room promptly, the experience was quite daunting!!! The hotel in Litang (Cordyceps Hotel) was comfortable except for the water control, it was very difficult to control the temperature in the shower room. The flow of water could be interchangeably cold and hot during shower. Overall the hotel standard were far better than our 1st experience in 2013 Mar! * For places like Litang, personally I would prefer to stay in a hotel near town. If there's hotel with tibetan style would be even better. The town itself is a treasure with full culture and beauty. It would be nice if we had the flexibility to have our leisure walk anytime instead of having to trouble the driver and Rose. Transport: The car was comfy. On the 1st day when we reached Xinduqiao, my husband gave feedback to the driver that there's something wrong with the car as there were some loud noises coming out of the front tyres area. He promptly arranged for another transport while having the problem fixed. Our itinerary was not affected at all. Appreciate it very much. The driver's driving skill made me feel safe. Steady and patient. The guides: Rose was very attentive. Petite but physically very fit! Her fluent english was a bonus to me! Food: Both my husband and I are not really particular. As long as we don't waste any food, we could survive on simple noodles or rice or even biscuits. My husband just need some good coffee where the hotel at Xinduqiao provide the best coffee in this trip :) Views/Activities: We love all the views and activities. However the trip was tough for both my husband and me. We took quite a while to get adjusted to the high altitude. Tagong grassland was btw 3700-4400M it was really really tough not because of the terrain but because we were not acclimatized yet. We still love the experience we had. I wish we had more days to acclimatize to the high altitude before we have the hike on the grassland. Luckily when we reached Yading we were more or less ok with the altitude! We really enjoyed the 2 days walking around the Yading scenic area! Too bad we missed the other 2 attractions. I think Mugetso should be the 1st to visit as the scenery was more ordinary and the walk was easy! After Yading, I had no interests to see other snowy scenery any more. If I were to adjust the flow of itinerary I would prefer: Chengdu -> Kangding (Mugetso) -> Xinduqiao (Mt Yala)-> Tagong -> Litang -> Daocheng -> Litang -> Xinduqiao -> Chengdu Again, thank you for making the trip possible. we really enjoyed our trip to the Wolong panda base and visit of Dujiangyan irrigation system/site. Ben is a good guy. he was considerate. The driver was nice as well, sharing his knowledge along the way. they even gave us some recommendations for our remaining one day in Chengdu. the only disappointment is actually the volunteer work/experience. As I mentioned, the internal guide was rigid, only allowing one bamboo per person. there were only 4 guests plus two tourist guides. Our 12-year old daughter was the first one to do and she did not do well. she asked whether she could do one more when we four were done with one per person and the guide said no and explained one per person rule. we waited till 10:20am to start. watching the feeding was nice but brief. we did not do much but had a lot of idle resting time. Making the buns and craft were fine but arranged completely outside the base, we had lunch on our own outside. seeing the panda just like a normal tourist visiting has seemed the highlight of the trip. hope these feedback are helpful

Hi, we are coping well, thanks. All “normal” now. Daniel is a very good guide, approachable & cheerful. Vehicles are good too. Mr Li & the Tibetan drivers are steady. Hotel wise, they are good too except some rooms have a bit of varied amenities amongst both rooms but no big issue. We really like 栖山悦，thumbs up esp the mountain view room (2nd level room is bigger ~ 浮光 while 1st level room has a nice patio. Arrangement wise think it is the std route. All in, we are happy. Thank you.

here is some feedback about our tour. Overall we liked it very much, the locations are beautiful and very different from anything we had seen before, particularly around Tagong. The itinerary was well designed, we had enough time to visit and rest without feeling rushed. The driver was good, he drove carefully (unlike other drivers on the road). The hotels were good, some better than others. The homestay near Danba wasn't very clean and the breakfast in the last hotel was very poor. The rest were fine. A couple of things that would be useful: we didn't know that the hotel was far away from Danba, more clarity would have helped making decisions about buying groceries. Restaurant suggestions would be welcome, in most places we found options but on the last day after the Panda visit even the driver struggled finding something. On a couple of occasions there was a slight confusion around the order of the itinerary and visits.. perhaps a bit more clarity with the driver beforehand would help (communication was very limited due to language barrier)Just giving you actionable feedback on a few things to improve but as said overall we are very satisfied, thank you

Thanks again for this tour, I fully agree with Pierre: it was a perfect balance between cultural visits, hiking in the alpine style mountains and exploring the open landscapes of the Tibetan plateau. I particularly appreciated the switching of the 2 days in Tagong as we really could optimize the weather conditions. That is maybe something you can propose to adjust in your future program. (Maybe you are already used to). Sometimes it was difficult to communicate, especially with our Tibetan guide as we could not benefit from apps to translate from Tibetan to English. But anyway everyone did his best. Our driver was very kind with us and always did his best to offer us the best answers. He often helped us a lot during the visits. Regarding the meals I must admit it was sometimes difficult to find the most suitable food among the chinese food. At the end I think we were better when it comes to choosing the best food for us but we need some attention. Maybe it could be a good idea to give the driver some tips about the restaurants. Particularly we found by our own a very good tibetan restaurant in Tagong. Regarding mountain sickness we were very cautious. The positive point is that there were oxygen supply in each hôtel (we didn't use it), but the short duration of the trip does not enable an efficient accomodation. I think for example we could not hike higher than an altitude of 5000m with less than 1 week accomodation. We saw many oxygen canisters that were used by chinese people and we wondered if it is efficient or if it is of any help. Thanks again for the discovery of your country, and I will not hesitate to recommend you to other european colleagues who I know will travell to Chengdu and Tibet.

Apologies for the delayed feedback. I really enjoyed this trip. The team provided very helpful information beforehand, which helped me prepare well for the journey. Although the driver spoke only a little English, it was enough for the trip. He was incredibly helpful and took excellent care of us, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. I do have a small suggestion regarding the vehicle. The road leaving Xinduqiao was quite rough, and I think an SUV might be a better fit for this route. Perhaps you could offer an option for customers to choose a more suitable vehicle, even if it comes at a slightly higher cost. This way, clients can select what works best for them. For me, using an SUV would have felt more suitable for the road conditions on this trip.That said, the vehicle you provided was not inadequate in any way—it was new, clean, and the driver ensured we were well taken care of. Thank you for your excellent service.

Everything from the route, hikes and accommodations was perfectly selected for our liking. We also appreciated the daily updates here in the chat. Our special thanks goes to Li Chao who did an awesome job and provided us a fantastic experience discovering beautiful Sichuan. He always was reliable, drove safe no matter the circumstances and challenges (snow up the Mountain Pass). Only thing we would suggest is that you provide a 4x4 car for such a tour which would make it much easier for the driver and more convenient for the guests. Other than that: once again thank you all very much for giving us such an amazing experience in Sichuan!

You have great reactivity. I guess the smoky room was just bad luck. (We don’t recommend you propose this hotel for your next clients though) Molly was really kind and sweet. We had difference in how we perceived temperature but all went well anyways. She was also very helpful when i had to go to the hospital to get some medecine. The driver was really good at his job too. All in all, great trip! I can only recommend!

Dear Alex, Sorry for not answering sooner - we have only recently arrived back home after a very long journey! We enjoyed our stay in Sichuan. The most impressive landscapes were the waterfalls and water landscapes of Huanglong and Jiuzhaigou; and the grassland was somehow similar to Qinghai and Mongolia. We coped quite well with the altitude because before we had been in Lijiang for some days. Here comes the feedback: tour arrangement: well arranged. Maybe you could add the following optional elements: horse back riding in the Grasslands (half an hour or an hour) transfer and driver: reliable and punctual. Possibility of improvement: reclinable seats; switch off the car's automatic voice that invites the driver every few seconds to insert a card (like this: 请插入驾驶员 IC 卡); possibility to chose from two or three types of restaurants on the road when driving from Chengdu to Huanglong overall comments: we really appreciated the quick replies and problem solving.

Thank you for your message and yes we made it back well. At the time of sending this we have arrived in Istanbul and it’s the first time my phone has been connected. I was going to write to you to thank Daniel on the behalf of Isaline and I. We had a great day and can’t thank Daniel enough, he did a fantastic job showing us around your country and we appreciated his knowledge and motivation to share your culture. He did so much for us, making sure everything we needed was attended to, including helping ordering our food, making sure we had a bus and also providing us data to enable payment throughout the day. If we come back some time we definitely anticipate making contact again. Thanks again!

Dear Bruce and Alex, Phyllis and I would like to thank you both again for an excellent experience in Sichuan. We'd like to leave a positive testimonial of our experience with you both – what is the best site for us to do this on? Also, we wanted to let you know that we decided to stay in Chengdu until Friday. Avery is having surgery on Tuesday (he goes into the hospital tomorrow morning), so we thought it might be a good idea to be here. And we love Chengdu!
