Khamapa Tibetan Family Visit & Tibetan Life Experience

A visit to an authentic family of the Khamapa Tibetan People in Tagong, to experience the real local Tibetan life by going into a family, learn its tradition, food and making local food, learn the history and custom and its cultures. This is an in-depth experience unlike the other usual sightseeing. Activity is total around 4 hours including a Tibetan lunch. This activity is suited for both adults and visitors with children.

Activity

01. Learn the lifestyle of a Khamapa Tibetan family, its farming and herding tradition, food, house, marriage, tribal history and cultures;
02. A visit will involve a traditional small welcome ceremony by the Tibetan family;
03. Learn or watch how to milk a yak, and tend the yaks;
04. Participate in making a Tibetan meal including making yak butter tea, milk bread, fry Tibetan barley, etc.;
05. Learn the making of yak wool tent, learn to burn yak dung as fuel;
06. Enjoy a real Tibetan meal drink the milk you milked (or you watched milked), Zanba, Yak meat, local potato, yogurt, etc.
