Please note peaks listed below keep getting shut off from time to time sometimes within very short notice due to multiple reasons from local authorities. Please check with us for any specific requries.
Dafeng, Erfeng and all parks of Siguniang are shut off from November to the next June every year to restore nature due to over tourism in Siguniang that much damage was done to the mountain. Now if you come in by the seasons between November and the next June you will still have chances to summit a 5000er as there are other alternatives other than just Dafeng and Erfeng. These peaks are near the park of Siguniang also in the Qionglaishan Mountain Range with slightly further driving and similar planning as of Dafeng of Siguniang. These peaks include the following peaks. Please send your questions and inquiries if you are interested in the following peaks.
Mt. Sawu(5060m) (This one banned for climbing since August 2025) is one of the non-technical peaks in Qionglaishan Range near Siguniang massif. It has longer drive to get to and has similar approach but harder climb from 4300m to 5060m. It also requires early start in the morning. There are total 3 routes to 3 different summits(the highest route is a technical one that we don’t recommend if you don’t have technical climbing experience and gears). This mountain is available almost all year round (except holidays). We strongly recommend you to acclimate yourself elsewhere before doing this summit.
Mt. Tugina (5010m) (This one banned for climbing since August 2025) This peak has a short (2.7km) but steep approach from 3900m to the summit by 5000m in about 3-4 hours. It is a relatively hard route to a minor high point near Siguniang with 1100m ascent and descent in one day. This is a similar alternative to Dafeng and open almost all year round. We strongly recommend you to acclimate yourself before doing this summit.
Mt. Langda (4860m) is a relatively easy route to a minor high point near Siguniang with 800m ascent and in one day. This is an easier alternative to Dafeng and open almost all year round. We strongly recommend you to acclimate yourself before doing this summit.
Jiujiahai (4930m) is another alternative peak if you come in the season when Dafeng is closed. It also requires early start to do this summit and available almost all year round. We recommend you to acclimate yourself properly before doing this summit. The view is the best of the three listed here although this peak sometimes is shut off in certain seasons.
Mt. Jagel Garbo (5106m) is newly opened 5000er and open to foreigners. We recommend you to acclimate yourself properly before doing this summit. Domestic groups are available to sign up but no English-speaking service of such trips. We can offer you to join the domestic groups and arrange for english-speaking guide for you if you are interested. A general price is CNY6600 per person for 4 pax group (or more pax) , CNY7500 per person for 3 pax group, CNY8800 per person for 2 pax group, CNY12800 per person for 1 pax group. Mt. Cipo (5010m) is still open to foreigners. This one has a section of technical climb near the summit and will require you to have experience of using technical gears. Mt. Zodala N13 Summit (5025m) is a new summit we provide. This is a hard trek to a 5025m summit in central Garze with easy car access and avoiding the crowds (the above listed 5000m summits and peaks will usually see crowds of over 200 people or even 500 people each day), while this one having the nature and mountains just for yourself. This trek starts by Ganzi Gesar airport and ends by Ganzi airport, with views of the whole range of Gangga and Zhuodala(zodala) mountains. Please read details of Mt. Zodala N13 Summit.
