There are multiple places of ices in Kangding including the Lamoshe mountains north, Lotus mountains west, and Yala mountains west and north. Each with different distance of approach.
From mid/late December to the next mid March.
No permits are required to do ice climbs in Kangding but may have access issues due to the fire restrictions in winter.
Please be aware of the high altitude of above 3000m or even 4000m of most of the ices in Kangding.
