A day tour visit to the Grand Buddha in Leshan using boat to have the best place to take photos of the Buddha Statue. This is one of the main culture tour in Chengdu outside of the city. You will also have chance to tour Huanglongxi Old Town on the way back to Chengdu
Book NowStart from your hotel in Chengdu city and drive for around 2 hours to Leshan. Visit the 1200 years old Buddha statue built in Tang Dynasty, one of the largest sitting Buddha Statue in the world. This statue is total 71 meters tall and took 90 years to finish. “Buddha is the mountain and the mountain is a Buddha”. We will go walk inside the park and visit other sites within including Linyun Temple, Daxiong Temple, Jiuqu Stairs, Lingbao Pagoda.
After lunch we will then drive to Huanglongxi Old Town, a former important in-land port in Sichuan that has good location and beautiful views. The old town has everything that is old including street, trees, temple, dam, house even thought some were rebuilt.
After the visit we will drive back to Chengdu and tour ends.

The boat tour is sometimes unavailable due to raising water or low water for boat to sail. When it happens we will change to a visit walking in to the park of Leshan Buddha.
