Julisi (or Juli Temple) Pass is a new photo spot in west of Minya Konka mountains. It is the most convenient location from Xinduqiao to take panoramic photos of Minya Konka mountains and a good one. From Julisi Pass one can also see Mt. Yala and the villages near Xinduqiao by the river valleys. Julisi Pass is at 4100m above sea level.

Yuzixi Photo Spot is located 15km south to Xinduqiao and by driving it takes around 30 minutes to get to if no traffic. During busy season you often see traffic jams on the small road up to Julisi. The photo spot is accessible by normal cars but better use 4X4 cars if possible because the roads are partially unpaved especially the last bit up the pass.
Julisi Pass is open to visitors all year round. The best seasons are from June to November. The busy season is July, August and October. In summer you have 50% chance of seeing foggy weather but the mountains are green. In autumn and winter the chance of clear days are higher but the mountains are not green(March to early May). Spring may see more snow than winter and other seasons. Julisi is still less busy than Gedilamu or Yuzixi.

The direct distance to Minya Konka Range from Julisi is around 50km (60km to the highest peak Mt. Gongga). Using phone cameras can get good photos of the mountains and views but recommend to use a professional camera for better photos. Flying drone is allowed in Yuixi. Sunset time is usually between 7pm and 8:15pm. You will see other people there sometimes a lot of people but it’s an open place and you can usually find spots for good photos while at the top. We suggest you to plan for at least 45min driving up this place given the possibility of traffic jam during busy seasons.
There is no hotel or lodge up by the pass and camping is allowed up here. Julisi is the most convenient and closest to Xinduqiao because of short distance on driving. This place is highly recommended for sunset even if you are not on a photo tour and can be added easily since it takes much shorter time than other photo spots, given that most trips to West Sichuan will have one night in Xinduqiao.
