Daocheng Yading Visiting Guide

This is a visiting guide of Yading Park for independent/self-guiding foreign travelers. Yading Park is a well-established park with trails/boardwalks marked and paved. It should be easy to navigate oneself even if you don't speak Chinese language.

Know where you stay for each night: the planning of visit may be different if you stay at different locations. Read the map of yading and have some basic ideas of how the park is organized. Be aware of your physical conditions and acclimate before you visit yading.

04. Visiting/Hiking inside the Park: Important Locations

Luorong Yak Ranch

From Golf Car end to Milk Lake is 3km flat walking + 2km steep uphill walking.

This is the end of steep walk to Milk Lake. Go to the left to Milk Lake first and then later after visiting 5-color lake come down from the steep trail on your right side.

Milk Lake

Arrive to Milk Lake on relatively flat trail, after visiting by Milk Lake, switchback to go up the boardwalk to 5-color Lake. This way of visiting you'll have easier walking up.

After Milk lake and 5-color Lake, come back the same way to the golf car and then use the bus back to Shangrila-La town (Riwa) if you hotel is in Riwa.
