This is a 3-day Chinese Monal bird tour from Chengdu. It is for people who want to see the endemic Chinese Monal around Chengdu in the mountains. We will take you to Wolong and Yaan by the locations that have the highest chance of seeing Chinese Monal.
Book NowToday we will start from Chengdu and arrive the first location before midday and search for Chinese Monal until late afternoon near sunset. The time could also be better planned if you are also looking for other birds that during the day we could first go to some lower locations for other birds before driving up Balang for Chinese Monal. After the search by Balang we will then drive back to lodge for overnight.

Today We will drive up the mountain by early morning by 5am. We will have another chance to see the Chinese Monal in the early morning and maybe also other birds and pheasants. After around 3-4 hours we will then start to drive to Yaan and the arrive Labahe by around 2-3pm and then go up the mountain and search for Chinese Monal til sunset.

Today we will start early and go up the mountain to search for Chinese Monal again. Until around mid-day we will start to go back to our lodge and then rest there before drive back to Chengdu.
1. This is a private tour package; you can choose your own time to come. The best season to do this tour is from December to February but other seasons are also good. This tour is customizable.
2. It involves short walking to the location.
3. Local transfer is involved in order to go deeper into the mountains.
4. Traveling to the listed places will expect lower standard services at hotels and restaurants, even if they maybe the best choices. The service level is not as up to what you have in places like Chengdu. The hotel people don't speak English, nor do the people from restaurants. These places are quite far, wild but beautiful. As authenticity comes often with less comfortability. Public Toilet can be really bad. You are always recommended to use your toilet in your hotel while you don't want to use the public toilet or do it in the open wild. You are recommended to have toilet paper with you. Food are with limited options at most of the places. Basically you can find Chinese Food with Sichuan style. On a guided trip you can have them customized into vegetarian or non/less spicy.
