Tagong Horse Riding guided tour. This is an authentic experience while traveling to Tagong. You will have the chance to see big mountains of Minya Konka while horse trek up to Yari Ayu Lake by the foot of Yamu Mountain. Full day horse riding from and back to Dola Gamo.
Book NowIn the morning you will be picked up by your driver from your hotel in Tagong to have a short ride for around 15 minutes to the village of Dola Gamo and meet your horse guide there. Start the horse riding from the village follow the less-visited grassland behind the village up the small valley and arrive the lake after around 2-3 hours. Continue up and tour around the lake before go back via another valley. You will gain great views of the big mountains of Daxueshan including Minya Konka Range and the amazing lake by the foot of Mt. Yamu. Afterwards go back to the village and driver will pick you up and send back to your hotel. Tour ends.

This trip is available all year round. The best seasons are May, June, July, August, September, October when weather is generally the best. Winter is too cold but still doable.
Rainproof and Sun block are also necessary when you come to hike at Tagong. The average elevation of this hiking is over 3800 meters. Weather changes quickly.
This adventure involves riding horse, you can prepare your own helmet. Horses are from local nomads people and will have a horseman to lead the horse.
In this tour, elevation at most of these sights are quite high as much to 4000 meters. Precautions for mountain sickness are necessary as well.
Rainproof and Sun block are also necessary when you are traveling at these places for weather changes quickly at high altitude.
