Explore Sanxingdui Civilization Plus Panda Visit - 1 Day

Today, you will firstly meet your tour guide around at 08:00 AM, then be taken to the Chengdu Giant Panda Base where you can get close to these cute babies eating bamboos, playing together on the slide, or climbing the tree. You can also learn some interesting facts about the Giant Pandas, such as their history, habitat, habit, etc. Panda visiting is usually arranged in the morning, because the pandas like sleeping in the afternoon.

In the afternoon, drive about 50km from Chengdu to Guanghan City to discover the mysterious Sanxingdui Civilization. Sanxingdui Museum is an archeological site featured with Bronze Age civilization about 3000 years to 5000 years ago, and has made Chengdu area as the origination of ancient China Yangtze Civilization. There are thousands of brilliant artifacts excavated many of which are the greatest masterpieces of each kind, including a nearly 4 meters tall bronze God Tree, 1.38-meter wide brozen mask, 2.56-meter tall Brozen Standing Flamen, the oldest golden sceptre, etc. All items are different from any other kind of archeological items we found on earth before. Archaeologist says the Sanxingdui was a super-civilizations which even knew how to create alloy. Its skills of making bronze wares, golden wares and jade wares were much advanced then any other civilazations in the the corresponding period. Maybe the most attractive feature of Sanxingdui is its many mysteries which cann't be cracked - 1) how did the Sanxingdui kingdom originate and disapear? 2) Sanxingdui people are aliens? 3) why seashells of Mediterranean were found here? 4) as a super civilization, why there were not any relics with characters found? ...
