A Strong Earthquake Hit Jiuzhaigou Earthquake

At 21:19:46 on 8 August, 2017, a 7.0-magnitude earthquake hit Jiuzhaigou County in Sichuan Province in southwestern China. The earthquake center is located in Bi Mang Village, 5km from Jiuzhaigou National Park, 39km from Jiuzhaigou County Town, 66km from Songpan County, 90km from Ruoergai County, and 286km from Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province. This strong earthquake was felt broadly in Chengdu, Mianyang, Chongqing, Xian and Lanzhou.

Till today (13 August), the earthquake has cause 25 death and more than 493 injured. More than 50,000 tourists have been shifted to safe areas.
