This is a very cheap self-guided tour to Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong using public transport from Chengdu. It is a 4 -day tour visiting mainly Jiuzhaigou. This is a very good choice for people who have a budget.
Book NowYou will pick up your pre-booked bus ticket at bus station and get on the bus to Jiuzhaigou. The bus ride will take about 9 hours before it arrives in Jiuzhaigou bus station. The bus will stop in half way for lunch. Lunch is usually very basic so you may choose to prepare your own lunch if possible. After arrive in Jiuzhaigou, use a taxi to your hotel and check in. Overnight Jiuzhaigou.
Today is a full day sightseeing in the Jiuzhaigou. You will use a taxi to go to the entrance of the park from your hotel. Jiuzhaigou has won many brilliant reputations, such as World Natural Heritage Sites, 5A National Park, and Best Waterscape in China. Today, you will found out all the reputations worthy any of them. Water is the soul of Jiuzhaigou, and there are more than 108 lakes, several large groups of waterfall scattering on three valleys shaping a large “Y”. The wild forest and pure high snow mountains are the best setoffs to the waterscape of Jiuzhaigou. You will see streams flowing quietly among valleys, beautiful waterfalls dropping from high mountains, and colorful lakes with amazing reflection of colorful forest. After the sightseeing, use a taxi to go back to your hotel, and take a good rest. Overnight Jiuzhaigou.
Today you will take a morning park bus to Huanglong National Park. It is a bus ride around 1.5 hours. After arriving at the entrance of Huanglong National Park, buy the ticket, then take a cable car slowly to the top, enjoy the fancy views of colorful Calcified ponds, visit the sacred Huanglong Temple, breath the fresh air. Then you will hike down Huanglong Valley while being pleased by the stunning landscape here.
After the sightseeing at Huanglong, take a taxi to Chuanzhusi Town for accommodation.
Today is a one full day drive back to Chengdu. You will use the public coach to drive to Chengdu. It will be mostly the same way you came. Tour ends.
1. This is a budget tour package using public bus; you can choose your own time to come. This trip is available from April to November.
2. It involves walking at high altitude (over 2500 meters), so precautions of AMS are necessary.
3. Jiuzhaigou is suitable for traveling all year around. While summer and autumn are the best seasons to visit.
