Two Children Giant Pandas “traveled” 11 hours from their hometown Chengdu to a strange place. Will they adapt to the new home? How is the new look like?

Tough Driving Journey

At around 3 o’clock AM, 18 March, Si Yi and Xiao Qiao, two children pandas in Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, were awake up unwillingly, and were “invited” to cages. Where will they go to? - Luoyang. Si Yi and Xiao Qiao took their first flight journey in their lifetime. After 3 hours trip, they arrived at Zhengzhou.

The two pandas seemed be frustrated by the long transfer, they were uneasy, and screamed occasionally. The panda keeper fed their favorite apple and bamboo, but Si Yi and Xiao Qiao didn’t accept. Fortunately, the driving was not too long, and the road condition was good. At around 2:30 PM, the two sad pandas finally reached their new home in Luoyang - Longtan Valley.

Recovery and Enjoying New Living

Once stepping out of cages, Si Yi and Xiao Qiao were arranged to accommodate at two “luxury apartments”. The two pandas totally were released from upset mood, and became energetic and engaged to their biggest hobbit - eating.

According to the introduction from Liu who was a panda doctor in Chengdu Panda Base, both Si Yi and Xiao Qiao were born in August, 2012 in Chengdu Panda Base. They were both raised up by a same mother Si Yuan, but actually Si Yi was adopted because his natural mother had no efforts to feed two kids. Si Yi luckily met Xiao Yatou, mom of Xiao Qiao, and grew up with Xiao Qiao.

Si Yi and Xiao Qiao is only going to live in Luoyang for three years after which they will return back to their hometown - Chengdu.
